Volleball History
William G. Morgan (1870-1942), who was born in the State of New York, has gone down in history as the inventor of the game of volleyball, to which he originally gave the name of “Mintonette”.
The young Morgan carried out his undergraduate studies at the Springfield College of the YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) where he met James Naismith who, in 1891, had invented basketball. After graduating, Morgan spent his first year at the Auburn (Maine) YMCA after which, during the summer of 1895, he moved to the YMCA at Holyoke (Massachusetts) where he became Director of Physical Education. In this role he had the opportunity to establish develop, and direct a vast programme of exercises and sport classes for male adults.
His leadership was enthusiastically accepted, and his classes grew in numbers. He came to realise that he needed a certain type of competitive recreational game in order to vary his programme. Basketball, which sport was beginning to develop, seemed to suit young people, but it was necessary to find a less violent and less intense alternative for the older members.
Kampanye Damai Pemilu Indonesia 2009
Wah,,, baru aja mulai belajar bikin blognya orang dah pada ngeributin kontes-kontes gitu bahkan dah pada lama lagi ikutnya, apa.. @%$#*&#@% hhmmnnn… SEO (belom gitu ngerti ni soal SEO)? keywordnya “Kampanye Damai Pemilu Indonesia 2009” kaya gimana tuh….. Hadiahnya sih lumayan, buat nambah2 tabungan bakal merrid mah heheee…. tapi caranya gimana? ikutan-nggak-ikutan-nggak-ikutaaaaaaaaannn,,,,@%#$&*#$@,,,, ikut aja lah itung2 buat pemicu untuk tetap ngeblog heheh…
Mungkin ngebahas sekitar Pemilu, Kampanye, Partai kali yah…… sempet baca juga tadi blog2 para pendahulu (heheh… sori bukan maksud umurnya dah tua tapi ngeblognya, tapi klo yang ngerasa ya… rasain aza heheh…). Mo ngangkat tema pa juga lom tau ni yang jelas kayanya pemilu kali ni gak jauh beda ama pemilu2 sebelumnya, ya.. masih da saling gontok2an curang-mencurangi dan bermain politik kotor - money politic - yang dah kita anggap itu menjadi hal yang sangat biasa. Sebenarnya apa sih yang kita harapkan pada pemilu kali ini dan bukan hanya goal atau tujuan aja kan yang kita harapkan tapi juga cara, sistem dan perjalanan pemiluyang juga merupakan penentu dari sebuah goal/tujuan (baik atau buruk). Tapi pemilu kali ini juga ada perbedaannya dan patut kita banggakan dibanding pemilu2 sebelumnya yaitu cara kita memilih para calon anggota dewan legislatif yang tidak lagi dengan cara coblos tapi dicontreng, semoga ini merupakan langkah awal perubahan pendidikan bangsa yang selama terlihat hanya jalan di tempat saja seperti katak dalam tempurung (bener gak sih?….).
Jadi sebagai warga yang baik yang cinta akan bumi pertiwi Indonesia mari kita tetap menyuarakan Kampanye Damai Pemilu Indonesia 2009 - Allahu Akbar!!!!

Hai…… hmmmnnn……. bingung ni mulai dari mana ya?! Alhamdulillah….. akhirnya jadi juga blognya, ya.. walaupun masih banyak kekurangan disana sini sambil jalan ajalah. Faruq, begitu teman2qu manggil . Ni adalah kali pertamax aq bikin blog (eh nggak ding coz sebelumx pernah bikin jg tapi di blogspot). disni aq mo coba-coba nulis (ya.. sebenerx gak mo sekedar coba2 hehehee… ) karena memang dari dulu aq nggak terlalu suka dengan apa itu yang disebut nulis2 apalagi buat dipublish.
Trus kenapa urlnya http://volleyballmania.co.cc, coz tadinya settingannya khusus buat para pecinta olahraga bola voli dimana aja baik indonesia maupun luar seperti pada postingan yang pertama aq posting “2008-2009 Intramural Volleyball Rule” yaitu peraturan permainan bola voli intramural di Amerika Serikat, tapi kayanya susah juga kalau harus fokus ke satu kategori aja secara ini adalah kali pertamanya ngeblog. Apapun nanti hasilnya yang ada dalam benak dan lagi seru or ngetrend trus aq pengen nulis aq coba posting, jadi yaa.. gitu deh !!!!!

2008-2009 INTRAMURAL VOLLEYBALL RULES
All intramural matches will be governed by the USA Volleyball rules with the following intramural modifications:
GENERAL INFORMATION
- All Intramural volleyball games are played at the ARC Located on Peabody Drive.
- All participants must have their University of Illinois Student Identification Card (i-card) with them at all times.
- The captain must complete the scorecard roster prior to each game with first and last names of players.
- All men’s, women’s and coed divisions play 6-on-6 volleyball. The minimum required to play is 5. See attached coed modifications for coed player policies.
- Each team shall designate to the Referee the team captain or captains for the contest. The captain is required to sign the scorecard at the end of each game. The team captain is responsible for all information contained in the Intramural Volleyball Captain’s Packet and Intramural Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Teams should complete the scorecard with first and last names of all players, and be warmed up and ready to play as soon as the previous game ends on their court.
Players
- A team consists of 6 players. (3 men and 3 women for coed)
- The minimum requirement is 5 players to field a team.
- If a team has only 5 players, then they must play with a vacant spot for the sixth player. This spot is included in the regular rotation so that at one point the team will have two players on the front line. This vacancy is skipped in serving, so that a team does not lose a service.
- If a 6th player arrives late, they may enter the game in the empty spot when their team next serves.
- All coed teams must have at least one male player, but not more than 3, on the court.
- No team shall have more than 2 Illinois volleyball sport club members on their team roster. Check the Intramural Handbook for further eligibility requirements.
No Show Procedure for 10-minute wait period
- If a team is not present and ready to play by (5) five minutes after scheduled game time, the 1st game will be a no show. The team ready to play at match time will have choice of service and side of court to start the 2nd game.
- If a team is not present and ready to play by (10) minutes after the original scheduled match time, the entire match will be declared a no show. Teams no showing 2 matches will not be eligible for post-season.
